The Department of Optometry of PEWS College of Paramedical Sciences celebrated World Optometry Day on March 23rd, 2024. The event was graced by Mr. Chandan Jyoti Borah, Optometrist at BPHC, Chaygaon, Govt. of Assam, as the special invitee, along with Mrs. Thounaojam Salvia Devi, Principal of PEWS College of Paramedical Sciences, and Dr. Pallavi Goswami (PT) from the College of Physiotherapy and Medical Sciences. Faculty members and students from the Department of Optometry
also participated in the event.
The highlight of the celebration was a model competition among the students, adding an element of creativity and engagement to the day. The event concluded with a delightful cake cutting ceremony, followed by the distribution of prizes to the competition winners. It was a fun and educational event that brought together aspiring optometrists to commemorate World Optometry Day.
