PEWS Group of Institutions organized a free health camp today at Srimanta Sankar Madhav Junior College, Barpeta. Senior doctors Nitya Nanda Sharma and Prafulla Chandra Deka, along with students and faculties of Optometry, Medical Lab Technology, Nursing, and Physiotherapy, conducted various screenings and check-ups at the health camp. These included general health check-ups, vision screenings, cataract screenings, BP diabetes checks, blood group checks, and physiotherapy assessments and consultations.
The camp aimed to provide medical facilities to local people who couldn't access healthcare due to financial limitations. Free medicines and prescriptions were distributed to those in need. Additionally, the event also focused on creating awareness among students and parents about the importance of education in the medical sector.
More than 400 individuals benefited from the health camp, emphasizing PEWS' commitment to community welfare. Special thanks to Dr. S. Ahmed Principal of Srimanta Sankar Madhav Junior College, Barpeta for his invaluable cooperation and support in making this health camp a success.
