Yesterday Secretary of PEWS Group of Institutions Mr. Ramendra Kr. Chamuah, along with the students and the faculties Dr. Mayur Das, Dr. Vandana Pradhan and Dr. Avik Paul of CPMS attended a seminar on "Behind the Games - Developing Interdisciplinary Services for Maximizing Performance and Well being". The event was organized by Lovlina Borgohain Foundation in collaboration with SLAC, Govt. of Assam on 11/06/2023 at NEDFI House, Guwahati. Dr. Mayur Das ( Asso. Prof.) was among one of the resource person in the program. Apart from olympian Ms.Lovlina Borgohain, the event was also graced by Commonwealth Games medalist Ms.Nayanmoni Saikia, Asian U-20 Athletics Championship Bronze medalist Mr. Mehdi Hadan, DGP Mr. G.P.Singh, Cabinet Sports minister Ms. Nandita Gorlosa, Director of Sports Mr. Pradip Timung, SLAC Member Secretary Mr. Gitartha Goswami and DIG Mr.Partha Sarthi Mahanta and also by coaches and athletes of various sports from Assam. Our sincere gratitude to the Lovlina Borgohain Foundation, SLAC, and the Government of Assam for organizing this insightful seminar. Together, we strive to build a brighter future for sports in Assam.
A 1-day outdoor posting was conducted at Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital, Barpeta, Assam, for BPT (SSUHS) 2nd Year students, where 36 students and 2 faculty members participated as a part of their curriculum. They met with Principal Prof. Dr. Ramen Talukdar, who gave them an introduction to FAAMCH, and they were then assisted in the orientation of different wards and units of FAAMCH. The students got a chance to assess cases in ortho wards and PMRT with the guidance of the faculty members. The event concluded with a felicitation of the principal by PEWS faculty Dr. Avik Paul (PT) and Dr. Sukanya Baruah (PT) after a brief interaction with the students.

Students and teachers alike came together to celebrate nursing day with enthusiasm, taking part in a range of competitions that highlighted their creativity and knowledge. The essay writing competition saw participants share their personal experiences and insights on the nursing profession, while the rangoli competition allowed them to showcase their artistic flair. The poster-making competition brought out the best in their design and communication skills. It was a truly memorable day that celebrated the invaluable contribution of nurses and their unwavering commitment to patient care.
We are happy to share that #PEWS has been honored with the "Excellence in Paramedics and Nursing Care Studies" award at the NorthEast Healthcare Summit 2023. The award was received by PEWS Secretary Mr. Ramendra Kumar Chamua in an award ceremony organized by the Rotary Club of Guwahati Icon.

An exciting freshers event was organized to welcome the new batch of students at PEWS for the M.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Nursing, and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing students.
The event was graced by the presence of two distinguished personalities - PEWS Chairman Mr. Ram Murti Sharma and Vice President Mr. Vipin Bihari Singh. They congratulated the students on their admission to PEWS and wished them the best for their academic journey.
The event was a great success, and the students left with unforgettable memories. It was a perfect way to start their journey at PEWS and set the tone for the academic year ahead.

On the occasion of #NationalSafeMotherhoodDay, #PEWS M. Sc (N) 1st-year students along with faculty members Ms. Nirmali Devi and Jyoti Pegu organized an awareness program at Birkuchi, Guwahati. Several mothers around the neighborhood attended the event. During the event, they discussed the importance of family planning, the mandatory practices for prenatal care, and their significance during and post-delivery of the baby. Hope this initiative will help them prepare for a healthy pregnancy and childbirth experience.
On the occasion of #WorldHealthDay students & faculty members of #PEWS Group of Institutions organized a free health camp in Morigaon Sewa Ashram yesterday. Dr. Nitya Nanda Sharma and Dr. Prafulla Chandra Deka provided free consultation to the attendees. Free General health check-ups, vision and cataract screening, BP, diabetes, blood group examination alone with physiotherapy assessment were also provided. Free medicine was also provided. Hope this small gesture will help improve their overall health and well-being. Let's continue to work together towards a healthier, happier future.
A free health camp was organized by PEWS Group of Institutions at Dakkhin Paschim Rangiya Anchalik Hari Mandir, Mohkholi, Rangiya yesterday with the help of Mr. Abhijit Bharali, President of AGRA NGO, Rangiya, Mr. Karuna Boro and Mr. Binanda Ram Kalita, President of Dakkhin Paschim Anchalik Hari Mandir, Rangiya. Dr. Satyendra Nath Choudhury and Dr. Prafulla Chandra Deka along with the students and faculties of Paramedical, Nursing, and Physiotherapy of PEWS provided free health checkups, free consultations, and treatments to the attendees. Cataract screening, BP and diabetes checkup, blood group checkup, and free medicines were also provided. The event was a huge success. Patients were educated and motivated for regular health checkups. We hope this small gesture will go a long way in empowering them to prioritize their health.
