We are happy to share that #PEWS has been honored with the "Excellence in Paramedics and Nursing Care Studies" award at the NorthEast Healthcare Summit 2023. The award was received by PEWS Secretary Mr. Ramendra Kumar Chamua in an award ceremony organized by the Rotary Club of Guwahati Icon. Humbled and Honored.
An exciting freshers event was organized to welcome the new batch of students at PEWS for the M.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Nursing, and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing students. The event was graced by the presence of two distinguished personalities - PEWS Chairman Mr. Ram Murti Sharma and Vice President Mr. Vipin Bihari Singh. They congratulated the students on their admission to PEWS and wished them the best for their academic journey. The event was a great success, and the students left with unforgettable memories. It was a perfect way to start their journey at PEWS and set the tone for the academic year ahead.

On the occasion of #NationalSafeMotherhoodDay, #PEWS M. Sc (Nursing) 1st-year students along with faculty members Ms. Nirmali Devi and Jyoti Pegu organized an awareness program at Birkuchi, Guwahati. Several mothers around the neighborhood attended the event. During the event, they discussed the importance of family planning, the mandatory practices for prenatal care, and their significance during and post-delivery of the baby. Hope this initiative will help them prepare for a healthy pregnancy and childbirth experience.
On the occasion of #WorldHealthDay students & faculty members of #PEWS Group of Institutions organized a free health camp in Morigaon Sewa Ashram yesterday. Dr. Nitya Nanda Sharma and Dr. Prafulla Chandra Deka provided free consultation to the attendees. Free General health check-ups, vision and cataract screening, BP, diabetes, blood group examination alone with physiotherapy assessment were also provided. Free medicine was also provided. Hope this small gesture will help improve their overall health and well-being. Let's continue to work together towards a healthier, happier future.
A free health camp was organized by PEWS Group of Institutions at Dakkhin Paschim Rangiya Anchalik Hari Mandir, Mohkholi, Rangiya yesterday with the help of Mr. Abhijit Bharali, President of AGRA NGO, Rangiya, Mr. Karuna Boro and Mr. Binanda Ram Kalita, President of Dakkhin Paschim Anchalik Hari Mandir, Rangiya. Dr. Satyendra Nath Choudhury and Dr. Prafulla Chandra Deka along with the students and faculties of Paramedical, Nursing, and Physiotherapy of PEWS provided free health checkups, free consultations, and treatments to the attendees. Cataract screening, BP and diabetes checkup, blood group checkup, and free medicines were also provided. The event was a huge success. Patients were educated and motivated for regular health checkups. We hope this small gesture will go a long way in empowering them to prioritize their health.

Senior Doctor N.N Sharma and Doctor P.C Deka along with the students and faculties of Paramedical, Nursing, and Physiotherapy from PEWS provided free consultations, and treatments to the attendees. Free medicines were also provided. The event was a great success as many people around the neighborhood attended the camp and got consultations. A glimpse from yesterday's free health camp organized by PEWS at Sankardeva Namghar Lahkartola, Barpulla, Nalbari. Doctors P. C. Deka and N. N. Sharma, respectively, provided free consultations to the visitors. Free Blood tests, health check-ups, and physiotherapy treatment along with free medicines were also provided. The event was a great success with the presence of the Faculties members and the students of PEWS Group of Institutions. We convey our kind regards to all.
We celebrated this year's International Women's Day with great enthusiasm by felicitating some well-known women achievers from our society. The event was graced by Prof. (Mrs) Mayengbam Benita Devi, Principal of RINPS, Mr. Nilesh Trivedi, Assistant Director of MSME- DFO Tura Meghalaya GOI, and Dr. Rumi Bora from KRB Foundation. During the event, Mr. Nilesh Trivedi gave a speech on the topic "Empowering Women Through Entrepreneurship". It was an insightful session that highlight the current scenarios as well as the potentiality of women empowerment in our country. Let's continue to support and empower women everywhere. The college is provided with a modern Library. It is well stocked with more than 10,000 selected volumes of books and also Journals of National and International standard keeping the students well informed of the latest development in the field of Medical Sciences, as well as in the Nursing field.
Transportation to and fro, from the institution is provided to the students by Society’s own buses. Students are also provided with transportation for Study Tour, Health camps, Workshops etc.
The Society provides hostels with cozy and homely atmosphere to accommodate students of different courses. The Hostels are under strict supervision of the Management. They cater to the individual taste of the boarders in food & lodging. Students have to pay the minimum seat-rent for hostel during vacations.
Proper attention is given in exposing and enhancing multi talents of the students in Extra-Curricular fields like Sports, Cultural, Literature etc. through Annual Competitions, Freshers Meet, College Week etc.
In addition, the Institution is in the process of having tie-ups with other allied organizations. The institution also conducts regular free health check up and rehabilitation camps in all districts of the state throughout the year. These Programmes help the students to participate in community development and clinical knowledge.
